Total Time:

4 to 6 servings

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 pound chicken tenders
  • 2/3 cup barbecue sauce (recommended: Bullseye Original)
  • Flour, for dusting surface
  • 1 (13.8-ounce) package pizza dough (recommended: Pillsbury Classic)
  • 3/4 cup shredded Gouda
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan
  • 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken tenders and saute until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. When chicken is cool enough to handle, dice chicken to yield a little over 1 cup. In a small bowl, toss chicken with 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce. Set aside.

On a floured surface, roll out dough and place on a greased sheet pan. Shape to fill the sheet pan, about a 15 by 10-inch rectangle. Spread remaining barbecue sauce evenly over pizza dough. Sprinkle Gouda, mozzarella, Parmesan, onions, and chicken over top. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese bubbles. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and cut into pieces.

Easy to make and a crowd-pleaser. I used chicken thighs and a combination of swiss, Cheddar, mozzarella, and pizza cheeses, and a bit more barbecue sauce on the crust to make it saucier.
Fabulous. Better than our local pizza place. I didn't have smoked Gouda so I used Cheddar, which I love with BBQ sauce. Will definately make again.
This is a great go to recipe! Easy to put together after working all day and a favorite with the picky eater in the family.
This was great! We made our own dough as well. We will definitely do this again:
Very good pizza recipe! Easy, delicious, and simple. It will definitely be one of my regular go to recipes.
I used premade crust...i boiled my chicken in seasoned water w/onions..drain water, cut up chicken toss with bbq sauce...spread even layer of bbq sauce on crust add cheese(mozzarella and mexican blend, chicken, red onion and bell peppers...then more cheese. bake and voila'!
    my husband loves it.
    Best pizza recipe ever!!
I made this for the family a few times now however I used the original version. Can't wait to try the remake but I'm sure it will be a delight.
added a little extra bbq sauce, was great
easy and very good. My husband loves this and it is quick to put together
Pretty easy and tasty, however, very messy to make and eat. But I would still make it again.
Bbq Chicken and Pizza! One of my Two favorite foods. But put them togther and BAM! it's bbq chichen pizza<3
Love this recipe:) It was a big hit!!! The only thing I changed was the cheese I used. I used a grated Italian blend!!! Yummo!!!
This recipes was easy, filling and delicious. Will use again.
i LOVE this recipe....i make it for my whole famly. Instead of fried chicken tenders i use a rotissery (spell) chicken. I schred that into pieces and toss that with the BBQ sauce. I also mix full fat cheese with low fat cheese. you cant even tell the difference! ENJOY!
I made this the other night and making it again tonight..i added pre-cooked bacon and crumbled it on top, I didnt have gouda cheese and it was still great!! would highly suggest this pizza for something different and easy!
    This is excellent pizza!!!

If you want to make it, try this is great!

This pizza was very good. My kids just loved it!!!!
This was my first pizza I've ever made!! I used wheat dough that I got at Trader Joe's! I changed the amount of cheese tho, I used more gouda than mozzarella! Everyone loved it!! I would definitely make this more often!!
    Gimme a break
I like simple pizza so I only topped my pizza with cheese, chicken, BBQ sauce and an apple.. I made a small personal pizza and the pizza came out great, I just shrank the amount of ingredients. I used a Granny Smith and after it was baked, it had a weird taste. i will try this again but with a green MacIntosh.
Overall, I would cook this for my friends.
Used my own wheat crust recipe and rolled it out super thin. Used purple onions, and added some mushrooms and it was perfect. Kids couldn't eat enough of it.
I made this as a "snackertizer" cut up into smaller appetizer portions, it was a huge hit! I used my own pizza dough however, I tried one of Sandra's recipes with the rolled canned pizza dough in the past, and I hated the texture and taste of it. (sorry Sandra) However, that being said, everything else was from her recipe. It was very easy to make, and definitely a "keeper". Next time will be for a main course kind of meal, it was definitely hearty enough.
I was at Trader Joe's and picked up their whole wheat pizza dough and SMOKED gouda. I used a hickory smoke bbq sauce too...WOW the smokey flavor was great. This is very easy to pull together and the flavors are great.
wow i did not know that food in general could taste soooo good. the mess aside, i loved it, but next time not an entire bottle of bbq sauce. wait. what. that is not what the recipe says. oh shit. whatever it was still bomb.
All I have to say is this pizza is absolutly great
Who knew that barbeque sauce with a touch of gouda cheese could really turn a pizza into something mouthwatering? This pizza wasn't just easy but it turned out perfectly and the taste was amazing!
Quick, easy and tasted just live delivery. For a special kick add a handrful cashews before baking. I know it sounds a little odd, but our favorite Pizza place taught me this and it is great. Try it!
Increiblemente facil y deliciosa! Everyone in my house loved it, from my 2 year old baby to my mother.
