  • Flour, for dusting surface
  • 1 (13.8-ounce) package pizza dough (recommended: Pillsbury Classic)

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken tenders and saute until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. When chicken is cool enough to handle, dice chicken to yield a little over 1 cup. In a small bowl, toss chicken with 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce. Set aside.

On a floured surface, roll out dough and place on a greased sheet pan. Shape to fill the sheet pan, about a 15 by 10-inch rectangle. Spread remaining barbecue sauce evenly over pizza dough. Sprinkle Gouda, mozzarella, Parmesan, onions, and chicken over top. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese bubbles. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and cut into pieces.

Easy to make and a crowd-pleaser. I used chicken thighs and a combination of swiss, Cheddar, mozzarella, and pizza cheeses, and a bit more barbecue sauce on the crust to make it saucier. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Fabulous. Better than our local pizza place. I didn't have smoked Gouda so I used Cheddar, which I love with BBQ sauce. Will definately make again. item not reviewed by moderator and published

This recipes was easy, filling and delicious. Will use again. item not reviewed by moderator and published
i LOVE this recipe....i make it for my whole famly. Instead of fried chicken tenders i use a rotissery (spell) chicken. I schred that into pieces and toss that with the BBQ sauce. I also mix full fat cheese with low fat cheese. you cant even tell the difference! ENJOY! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I made this the other night and making it again tonight..i added pre-cooked bacon and crumbled it on top, I didnt have gouda cheese and it was still great!! would highly suggest this pizza for something different and easy! item not reviewed by moderator and published

This was my first pizza I've ever made!! I used wheat dough that I got at Trader Joe's! I changed the amount of cheese tho, I used more gouda than mozzarella! Everyone loved it!! I would definitely make this more often!! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Gimme a break item not reviewed by moderator and published
I like simple pizza so I only topped my pizza with cheese, chicken, BBQ sauce and an apple.. I made a small personal pizza and the pizza came out great, I just shrank the amount of ingredients. I used a Granny Smith and after it was baked, it had a weird taste. i will try this again but with a green MacIntosh. Overall, I would cook this for my friends. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Used my own wheat crust recipe and rolled it out super thin. Used purple onions, and added some mushrooms and it was perfect. Kids couldn't eat enough of it. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I made this as a "snackertizer" cut up into smaller appetizer portions, it was a huge hit! I used my own pizza dough however, I tried one of Sandra's recipes with the rolled canned pizza dough in the past, and I hated the texture and taste of it. (sorry Sandra) However, that being said, everything else was from her recipe. It was very easy to make, and definitely a "keeper". Next time will be for a main course kind of meal, it was definitely hearty enough. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I was at Trader Joe's and picked up their whole wheat pizza dough and SMOKED gouda. I used a hickory smoke bbq sauce too...WOW the smokey flavor was great. This is very easy to pull together and the flavors are great. item not reviewed by moderator and published
wow i did not know that food in general could taste soooo good. the mess aside, i loved it, but next time not an entire bottle of bbq sauce. wait. what. that is not what the recipe says. oh shit. whatever it was still bomb. item not reviewed by moderator and published
All I have to say is this pizza is absolutly great item not reviewed by moderator and published
Who knew that barbeque sauce with a touch of gouda cheese could really turn a pizza into something mouthwatering? This pizza wasn't just easy but it turned out perfectly and the taste was amazing! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Quick, easy and tasted just live delivery. For a special kick add a handrful cashews before baking. I know it sounds a little odd, but our favorite Pizza place taught me this and it is great. Try it! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Increiblemente facil y deliciosa! Everyone in my house loved it, from my 2 year old baby to my mother. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I made this late one evening after a long day using precooked chicken to make it easier. It was really delicious after a week of eating out of cans!! I didn't use the gouda cheese (just to make it a little less expensive) but I think the over all flavor suffered. I definately will make this again and use all three cheeses!! Thanks Sandra! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Great for dinner or lunch and good for all ages!! My roommate and I cooked it and love it!! THANKS SANDRA LEE!!!!! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This was the absolute best BBQ chicken pizza I've ever had. The cilantro was a great touch. A couple changes: *I too used a Boboli crust instead of the Pillsbury dough (which has hydrogenated oils in it). *I brushed the crust with olive oil and crushed garlic. *I used a bit of salt and pepper when cooking the chicken. *Instead of cutting the chicken into cubes, I shredded it with two forks. item not reviewed by moderator and published
....I added roasted red peppers and some bacon bits. I also used a ready made crust that I brushed with evoo and rubbed with garlic. Such an easy and quick recipe with a ton of taste! I wouldn't skip the gouda...yummo! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Great summer entree! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This BBQ chicken pizza is so good. I replaced the gouda cheese with colby jack and it was delicious. It was a great crowd pleaser. Thanks Sandra item not reviewed by moderator and published
ok I used this recipe as a base and followed it pretty well but I did change some things...for one...I didnt use the dough in a can...I cant stand that stuff...I used bridgeford frozen bread dough and after it unthawed I just stretched it out to fit a square pan...as far as the bbq sauce I used one that was hickory smoked with honey in it and I added hot pepper seeds like you get at a pizza place......I did not use the gouda or the parmesan and did not measure anything..I just added as much as I wanted...it turned out great and we went through 2 pizzas...will definitely make this again...but my way!! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Another great family hit! I loved the flavor. I added alot of extra gouda cheese. Really yummy flavor! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I doctored mine up a bit and it was great. My kids and husband liked it. We will make it again and I will try other kinds of pizza also since this was our first. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Great ez with kids plus it tastes great. I've been making this pizza ever since I saw it on the show. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I loved this recipe for its simplicity and simple ingredients. It was fun and easy to make and I even added a few of my own spices to enhance the flavor. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This pizza was the ABSOLUTE BEST! I have made another pizza recipe from Sandra and it was just as awesome. Please keep the great pizza recipes coming. THANKS! Absolutely delicious, one of the best pizza's I've tasted from the tv recipes yet! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I loved the ingredients for this recipe and it was very fresh. I think that the dough didn't have a lot of flavor and it wasn't what I had expected, but overall very yummy! item not reviewed by moderator and published
We will definetly make this again and are going to add pineapple chunks for a sweet version - very easy! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Eventhough I never liked her shows, this sounds interesting, so I tried it. Not my type of food, did not like it. I will stick to other shows like Ina, Tyler, Emerill and Giada item not reviewed by moderator and published
It was easy and wonderful! My husband was hesitant at first, but it was gone in no time. I'd make it again anytime for friends and family. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Use extra onions and not as much chicken. I could not afford to buy the $10 hunk of Gouda for just this recipe so I used Monterey Jack instead. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Excellent recipe, we just would have rather had a homemade crust. Store bought crusts are too sweet. Try it on the grill, it worked great. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This recipe was so easy to make and tasted so good. I usually only get BBQ pizza at gourmet pizza restaurants and this tasted just as good if not better. I used whole wheat pizza crust to make it a little healthier. item not reviewed by moderator and published
i add'it mushroom to it and my kids and i eat alf the pizza:) item not reviewed by moderator and published
This I love this pizza! item not reviewed by moderator and published
so easy and a treat for the whole family-yum! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This is a good, quick recipe for dinner when you don't have lots of time. I used pre-made dough from the grocery store and leftover chicken. It was good. item not reviewed by moderator and published
A great recipe. I used trader joes pizza dough, with corn meal. I roasted the chicken to keep it tender, and added a little soy sauce in with the bbq sauce. I also added shredded carrot, and bell pepper. Very good recipe, easy to make and a huge crowd pleaser. Ver close to CPK! Thanks Sandra, semi homemade is the way to go for working women like me :) item not reviewed by moderator and published
My husband loved it, I thought it was pretty good. I used a different cheese but otherwise yummy! item not reviewed by moderator and published
THis was great! Tasted just like the California Pizza Kitchens' BBQ pizza. MY husband loves it. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This was a hit with the whole family. Also made it as individual 3 inch appetizer pizzas. This was a lot more labor intensive and messy, but it was voted the best appetizer at the party. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This recipe worked out good for us, although I did use twice the chicken, and I cooked onions w/ the chicken. I thought it was delicious! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I have made this on countless occasions for my boyfriend. He also likes it with diced pineapple. item not reviewed by moderator and published
and nutritionally it's a hit as well item not reviewed by moderator and published
My husband & I loved this pizza. I used 1 pound of chicken & when I cooked it, I added 1 clove of garlic, minced. I also added a touch of salt & some basil to the chicken. I used a lot of cheese, because that's what makes a pizza yummy. Will make again, for sure. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This pizza is excellent, but I did use frozen bread dough for the crust and not the refrigerated kind. I also didn't use cilantro as my family does not care for it. I sprinkled the top of the pizza with some finely chopped green onions. YUM!!! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This dish was easy to make and was pretty tasty, and kid-friendly too! We liked the bbq flavor. This is a good recipe for when you don't feel much like cooking. item not reviewed by moderator and published
We didn't like this one bit. Overwhelmed by the BBQ sauce. The crust was cardboardy. item not reviewed by moderator and published
It is different. Not one that I would have much. It wasn't for us. But still not the worest. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Yummy and very tasty! I had roasted a chicken the night before and used it on the pizza and it was great! 5* item not reviewed by moderator and published
The Bullseye Original sauce made a huge difference to the overall flavor. It turned out great!! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I thought that the Gouda cheese was a bit overpowering in this recipe. Other than that it was a very good pizza. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I have had BBQ chicken pizza before but it tasted a lot better than this. This tasted terrible. Just BBQ sauce, nothing else. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I was a little hesitant to attempt this recipe since my husband is a BBQ chicken pizza LOVER. But both he and my daughter were very pleased with the taste. The only modification I made was that I used Trader Joes' pizza dough instead of Pillsbury. This is a keeper for us. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Very yummy pizza item not reviewed by moderator and published
I've never made pizza at home and this probably was my first and last try. The dough was hard to stretch out and the pizza just didn't taste anything like regular pizza. tasted sort of like a big biscuit with BBQ sauce on it. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I have to admit that I didn't expect a lot from this recipe mainly because it uses canned dough and a quick-cooking chicken method. Boy was I wrong! This pizza was perfectly cooked and tasted totally homemade. The addition of the cilantro after cooking is a nice, fresh touch. Although it's just my boyfriend and I, I think this recipe would work wonderfully for busy families as well. item not reviewed by moderator and published
We expected a lot better, frankly. This was barely edible. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I made my own crust, used no-fat cheese, and the result was outstanding! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Edible. That's the nicest thing I can say about it. It's not as good as frozen pizza. Not by a mile. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I love CPK and made this based on all the good reviews. But the pizza was really disappointing. It didn't taste much, if at all, like CPK. No one liked it. item not reviewed by moderator and published
using this recipe and the frozen version. This recipe fell way short of the frozen version. Analysis reveals that this is more expesive to make and obviously more time. My family preferred the frozen version. item not reviewed by moderator and published
He ate the whole thing, now I can make his favorite at home! Thanks FN! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I really wanted to like it but it just wasn't that great. Hubby thought it was alright but the kiddos didn't like it one bit. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I prefer take-out. My husband said he'd be just as happy with the frozen kind, plus it's easier than this was. item not reviewed by moderator and published
The BBQ flavor with the feel of pizza is so good and different, and when using a low fat pizza crust is very low in fat too. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I started with a Boboli crust and substituted tomato sauce for the BBQ and pepperoni for the chicken and used different cheeses and toppings. It was okay but nothing special. item not reviewed by moderator and published
After all the good reviews, I thought this would be a winner. But it's really only barely edible. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I made this pizza for dinner last night and it turned out great! I used a few modifications to get the pizza how I wanted. I used a Boboli thin crust piza shell, honey barbecue sauce, about a pound of chicken tenders (so the whole pizza was covered with chicken)for the cheese I used a cheeder / jack mix and the parmesan and just the right amount of onion and cilantro to my liking. I'll definitely be making this one again. YUM! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I'm not sure how to improve this recipe but cpk does a much better version. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This was so delicious. I used smoked provolone cheese instead of the gouda and used less onion. Can't wait to make it again soon. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Sort of sweet and cheesy rather than barbecuey. We won't be trying this again. item not reviewed by moderator and published
We'd rather have frozen, it's a lot less work and tastes just as good. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Pretty good recipe. I've made it twice all ready. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This was easy and delicious. My husband couldn't get enough of it (and he's not a big eater). I'll share this one with my entire family! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I recommend item not reviewed by moderator and published
I really wanted to like this at home version of BBQ chicken pizza, however, it was just a mediocre copy of CPK's recipe. item not reviewed by moderator and published
If you love it as much as we did! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Just like I thought it would! Very good! item not reviewed by moderator and published
pizza item not reviewed by moderator and published
This pizza has great flavor, and it's cheaper and faster than take out! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Too much BBQ sauce. Probably would be ok with less sauce or more chicken. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I went to the pizza parlor and bought a crust. This came out wonderful. item not reviewed by moderator and published
