I enjoyed this, but my only complaint would be that the vegtables didnt come out as tender as I would like them, so I would recomend cutting them a little smaller than she recomends, but otherwise very enjoyable.

I normally don't post on these things, but I read the review with the headline Terrible and I have to ask, "What are you talking about?" What foil? If you made the biscuit mix exactly as directed and added what she told you and BAKED the biscuits in the oven they come out perfectly. The stew also came out great. I can't believe you are posting to others saying you'll never try another recipe when you obviously didn't follow the directions properly. Sounds like it was your fault and not Sandra's.

This is something that I'll definately be making repeatedly. The weather is in the high 90's so I didn't feel like cooking. I threw everything inth the slowcooker and sat down in the AC .It truly was wonderful. Thank you Sandra for this incredible show!! I look forward to it each week. It would be wonderful if you made a cookbook with all of these recipes. Thanks a million

This recipe was very tasty. I added my own spices as we went and add a little extra broth so it wasn't as thick. I didnt try the biscuits. The stew was wonderful very good flavor.

I am so glad I made this recipe. It was easy and delicious! I added a few more spices (like Mrs. Dash and some basil and oregano to the pot for more flavor. The biscuits were also delicious, but a little sweet for my taste, so I'll reduce the sugar to 1 1/2 tablespoons next time. Instead of making my own baking mix, I used pancake mix and they came out great! I would just say to split the dough into 6 or 8 biscuits instead of four because mine came out kind of large. My husband loved this so much he asked me to make it again a week later.

I made both. I didnt favor the beer biscuits that much because I dont like beer, but the stew was amazing and loaded with flavor! This was the first time I have ever used hot sauce in any of my recipes but I have to say WOW, it does provide a nice kick at the right amount.

I only made the stew and I was skeptical that it would have enough flavor but everything came together beautifully for a great tasting stew. Some of the veggies broke down helping to thicken it so it had a great consistency and the hot sauce added just the right amount of kick.

I followed recipe exactly. Cooked on LOW in crockpot on top of foil ring for 4 hours (set timer after 3.5 hours I checked and toothpick came out clear. Waited while it cooled in pan- IT WAS HARD AS A ROCK! DO NOT COOK FOR 8 HOURS LIKE LISTED IN RECIPE OR YOU WILL HAVE A BRICK.

We were excited to try- searched and found recipe for baking mix and made that. My batter looked nothing like Sandra's whose looked like a normal cake batter. I followed directions EXACTLY and mine was thick and gummy. You could not swirl the two different batters. I don't know what is wrong but this is terrible after following directions.

I made another recipe of hers last year- it was a jello with fruit. She claimed hers set up. We followed exactly and guess what---like the directions on the jello say when you add certain fruit it WILL NOT SET UP.

Thanks but no thanks to anymore Sandra recipes. They might look good on television but when you follow her directions you don't get what she makes!

I followed the recipe to the letter, but the result was very disappointing. My husband said it didn't even smell good while it was cooking! The broth was too thin and bland. I thought the hot sauce would have given it a little kick, but I couldn't even tell it was in there! The biscuits were bland as well, and looked more like "cookies" than biscuits. Sorry Sandra, but you totally missed the mark on this one. This is one I WON'T try again!!!
