Another Sandra Lee recipe that is wonderful, if you know how to cook it. I followed the recipe to a T except I added salt, seasoning & spice to my family and my liking. If I were to have to rely on exactly what was told to me, it probably would have been bland (hence the loss of a star. Not much varied from the recipe except for adding some spices. I used a hoppy, autumn beer. It all came out amazing because I knew how to cook it!!!

We hated this. I bought her slow cooker cook book, made 4 or 5 different recipies, and hated them all. :( I like her concept, but I haven't found a winner of hers yet.

I wanted to make this recipe because it looked so easy and delicious on TV but I was really nervous after reading the reviews. Turns out we loved it! I followed some of the other suggestions from reviews. I used three packets of the fajita seasoning and used Ortega not Lawrys that Sandra suggests. I sprinkled one packet over the meat then sliced. I put the meat in the crock pot first with the veggies on top. I sprinkled the second packet over the veggies (used yellow and orange peppers and sweet onion and gave them a little stir but did not mix with the meat, I kept them on top. Then I mixed the third packet with the 1/2 cup beer and poured on top. Again, did not stir all together, left as is. Cooked on low for at least 8 hours then turned to warm until dinner. Very tasty!! My son who can be a little picky loved it. Gravy was nice and thick. Did not fall apart as some said theirs did. This one is definitely going in the recipe box.

I tasted the recipe half way through the cooking process and it had no flavor. I followed the instructions and had to add many spices, lime juice and chiles to get anything worth eating. The vegetables were beyond recognition. Had none of the fajitas flavors I was looking for. Won't do it again even though it was so easy. I do like many of Sandra recipes, but this one failed.

Meat was very tender and tasty but the veggies went to mush. I will make again but leave the veggies out until closer to the end of the cooking time.
Very easy recipe to follow!

Smelled good cooking, but the end result was meat that rivaled tire rubber - extremely tough, dry, and inedible. We ended up going out to dinner.

I made this recipe for a crowd, doubling the ingredients and using two large crock pots. It could not have been better, everyone commented on how deliciousit was. I put the peppers on top of the meat rather than on the bottom and cooked according to Sandras instructions. I think if other people had problems they may have set their crockpots on high rather than low.

I agree with the comments about this recipe turning out mushy. There wasn't much flavor to the dish either, even with the seasoning. I will not try this again.

I followed the directions exactly as stated and it came out way too soupy. The vegetables disintegrated. The meat was flavorful and tender. Looked nothing like the dish Sandra showed. If I make again I would just cook the meat in the crock pot and stir fry the peps and onions right before serving. I gave it 2 stars for the meat and the ease of preparation. Really disappointed in this recipe.

I recorded the show to make sure I did everything exactily as Sandra did
when I removed the lid from the slow cooker, everything was swimming, it was not nice and coated like it showed on the show
The meat was totally flavorless and DID NOT look anything like hers did, it was still in thick strips........it did break apart but had absolutly NO flavor at all I had to re spice it using several spices to get a hint of flavor, the peppers and onions were beyond recognition and over all it was a messy unapetizing mess...and a total waste of my hard to come by $..........tasted NOTHING like fajitas are supposed to taste like, I believe I used the same fajita flavoring package that she did too.........
