I bought all the ingredients for this dish because it looked so good on her show. I did not read any of the reviews before I made this and that was a huge mistake. It was basically MUSH vegetables with something that barely resembled meat. Nothing like authentic fajitas at all. The only thing that could have made this meal better would have been to not make it at all and not wasted my money!!!

After buying all of the ingredients I read the other reviews, but because several were written by people who had not actually made the dish, I decided to take a chance. They were absolutely right! This dish was basically a very watery pot roast with peppers and onions. Like some other reviewers, I noticed that the online recipe suggests using 2 packets of seasoning while Sandra Lee only used 1 on the show. I went with one, but you couldn't taste it at all. Two just sounds like overkill--especially for a recipe that only feeds 6 people. I will not be making this again.

You do not want to use this recipe for fajitas. It's awful. Does not resemble regular fajitas even slightly. Does not taste or look like fajitas. These are not fajitas. Whatever they are they are disgusting.

The verdict on crockpot fajitas is a resounding NO!!! They were horrible. Watery, Mushy, Slimy meat and vegetables. Of course you warm the tortillas but what matters is what's in them and these fajitas were almost inedible. They are THAT bad.

This recipe shouldn't be called "fajitas". It was a pot roast and peppers soup. As Rachael Ray would say, "it's a STOUP. Thicker than a soup and thinner than a stew".

I made this recipe for dinner tonight, and my husband and I loved it. We followed the recipe on the website. We didn't feel it was too salty at all. The flavors worked well together. We did warm the tortillas and were glad we did. It was a bit messy with dripping juices, but this is one that we may make over the summer for a group of friends.

There were no reviews when I first started this dish so by the time it was halfway through cooking I was terrified that this would come out terrible. I used 3lbs of meat instead of two and I used 1 1/2 packets of seasoning. I had it in the slow cooker on high for about 5 hrs then I took it out and put it in the pan. The rice wasn't my favorite part but was easily doctored up. I like that she attempts a different way to cook this dish and I thought it was great. As for the saltyness???? Maybe they used the wrong brand of seasoning packets. The way I cooked it this dish didn't come out even close to salty.

Followed Sandra's version not the download recipe on the food network. Sandra used 2 beef rounds and 1 pkg of fajita seasoning versus the printed version. Huge difference not to mention no mention of sour cream, which Sandra had as a condiment. Yummmy PS warm the tortillas it's worth the time

I knew they wouldn't taste right because they weren't grilled but I was totally unprepared for how horrific these were. They were unbelievably salty. Both the meat and vegetables were mushy and unappetizing. Gross.
