I added roasted corn to my burgers and then topped them with avocado, red onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo and cheddar cheese. Yum! I'm going to try the enchilada recipe next time too.

I had to try this because I am more than a little tired of buying veggie burgers. These had a great flavor and I love the texture. I get around the flipping trouble many people have had by doing them on my Foreman grill. It gives them a nice grill pattern and I don't have to worry about them falling apart. I froze the leftovers, popped them in the microwave still frozen and they still turned out delicious!

I made these without a food processor and just mashed everything up really well. I didn't have cilantro and left out the onions and they were still fantastic! The almost 5 year old I watch is super picky and he really liked them! Great recipe that is inexpensive and healthy.

Excellent recipe....I substituted a little olive oil for the egg (for us vegans! and added a few extra spices. I LOVE the fact that I can also enjoy a "burger" with my meat-eating friends!
    Thanks!

As always I eyeball the measurments. I followed the directions in the processor and then eyed the amount of bread crumbs to get the right texture. Using only one egg it held together perfectly! The only thing that could make it fall apart I think is if the beans were not rinsed and drained.
Made extra and freezed them to have on hand.

I read a lot of the reviews mentioning lack of taste and the burgers falling apart, so I kept both those things in mind as I proceeded (with caution making this. I used two eggs instead of one, hoping that would bind everything together better, and I doubled the red pepper flakes and added a minced jalapeno, with seeds. I let the burgers cook for six minutes on each side and carefully flipped using two spatulas - one below and one above. Throughout, I used the spatulas to press the sides of the burgers together as they cooked.

The result was a big success. They really only fell apart in the last few bites. Tasty, spicy, and satisfying. Do it slowly and keep a good eye on them as they cook, and you'll have a success!

These burgers were simple, and tasted great! I had no problems keeping them together and the flavor was very good. I'm making the round 2 Enchiladas tonight.

The flavor combination is great but I also had problems keeping the patties together. I wound up adding a bit more breadcrumbs to get the texture right. I am thinking I had extra moisture left from draining and rinsing the beans

Sandra Lee always make everything look so easy, so I decided to try these bean burgers, since my husband and I eat alot of beans.

These were awful. They fell apart when we tried turning them.

It would be great to fill a taco.

    WORST RECIPE EVER.
    Falls apart. Tastes bland.

Better off putting the mix into a burrito or taco.
