Great taste on this one. Very easy to prepare and even easier to eat. The one thing that I would have done differently is to make the patties thinner. I grilled them and, even though they crisped up on the outside, they were still kind of mushy inside.

I'm not big on vegetarian foods, but this was rich in flavor and super versatile. I didn't have cilantro or enough onion and substituted some shallot into the mixture. It was delicious! Plus, the "Day 2" Black Bean Enchilada recipe was even better. I plan to make this often.

I make this at least once a week. It is healthy, tasty, and my husband even likes it! I make a side of sweet potato fries that accompany this dish nicely.

This is a great easy and fast dinner that pleased the whole family. What I like the best is that it is very cheap to make and very healthy.

Wow! Sandra Lee Thank You!! I wish there were more recipes like this on food network- so easy, delicious, and healthy! I am not a vegetarian but I eat mostly meatless for the way it makes me feel- i loved the lack of processed foods and how simple and tasty this was. I made a few of the changes suggested in the reviews and Wow-I added 1/4 teaspoon coriander, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, I switched 1/2 cup breadcrumbs for scant less 1/2 cup cornmeal, served it up on whole wheat sandwich thins (arnold bread brand - with the lettuce leaves tomato and salsa. This made them amazing southwest tasting burgers- but with out any of the changes this burger would still be delicious! I am making these again with the sweet potato fries on Saturday for my boyfriend and as soon as I can find whole wheat ready pizza crust I am making that incredible looking farmstand pizza! Again thanks Sandra!!

I am still deciding on whether I enjoyed this or not. First, the mixture made WAY more than 4 burgers even if I was going to use some for the round two recipe. The flavors were nice, i like it but I think where I had the trouble was with the cooking and consistency of the mixture. I had to let the mixture sit in the fridge for at least 20 mins prior to cooking hoping it would firm up. Still it was kind of loose so I added a 1/4 cup more of the bread crumbs. I heated up my grill pan (working with an electric stove - hate it on med-low, it wasn't hot enough. I increase it to medium. Better. Medium-high probably a little too much. So toying with the heat setting the outside of the burgers got done way quicker than the inside. The inside was still a bit mushy which made this hard to rate it anymore than an average. I will try it again and I have some leftovers for tomorrow so maybe the same thing will be better the second time around. We'll see.

Had great success with this recipe & find it to be quite versatile. Added some roasted green onions and sauteed chopped mushrooms for added flavor. This was my first time at making home made veggie burgers and my partner & I were very pleased with the results. Will make again & again!!
