I read the reviews about these first. I added curry powder plus cumin and these were delish. I used panko and added more to make it more of a patty consistancy since it seemed a bit thin to me
I also added a bit more red pepper flakes and also some aleppo pepper.
These were easy and quick and will def make them again!!!

I thought these were very delicious. However, I added half a jalapeno and cumin. I also doubled the red pepper flakes. Yummy.

I thought the flavor of this burger was really good, but I had to drown it in ketchup to make up for the dryness. Maybe I cooked it too long, but I followed the directions. Needs more moisture.

I made these for my family and we all ate them and loved them. They had great flavor and the consistency was thick like a burger. This will be a regular with our family. We all loved them!

We liked these burgers but the flavors were too subtle and the texture was too similar to the buns to make them stand out. I added a tsp of cumin that another recipe included, and would probably add more if I make them again. I would also probably pan fry them a little before putting them on the grill to crisp up the outside. I think I'll have the leftover burgers with a salad instead of on a bun so I can actually taste the beans.

These burgers were great! I don't care for cilantro so I left it out and they were delicious. I don't have a grill pan so I just made them in a skillet.
If you're having trouble with the patties falling apart here's a good trick:
Once you have the mixture together stick the bowl in the freezer for about five minutes to let it firm up. Make your patties and put them on a plate. Put the plate of patties in the freezer for five or ten minutes and then start cooking them right away. Chilling the mixture helps it stick together.

There's a black bean burger I usually buy in the store that I really love, but I saw Sandra Lee make this on TV and was curious. I had some black beans on hand and tried the recipe. I'm so glad I did! I love these burgers. It was so fast and easy. And another bonus--it saves money, too!
I didn't even use a food processor. I just finely diced the onion and garlic, and mashed the beans with a potato masher. I used a grill pan and the burger didn't fall apart at all.
Thank you!

I'm a broke college student and this was super easy, cheap and delicious. I made the patties per the recipe but served it in a pita with chopped tomatoes and a cucumber feta spread. It was delicious!! Will be making again.

My husband and I made this recipe for dinner, and it was our first time making black bean burgers. I read some of the other reviews and took some people's advice on adding a few extra ingredients to add more flavor: diced jalapenos and using salsa and sour cream as toppings; they were very good! The burgers tasted great overall and stayed together, for the most part, while cooking. However they fell apart while we were eating them. They were a little messy, but we would definitely make them again!! Does anyone have any tips on helping to bind them together more??
