    This recipe had such great ratings I thought it would be amazing. It wasn't. It was flavorless beans on a flavorless tortilla with a bit of cheese and salsa. I certainly expected a lot better.

    My kids don't like too much stuff in it anyway..just the bean and cheese makes them happy.

    For me, I hate cooking and love simple and fast snacks.

    I am afraid I made a regrettable error when choosing the salsa to use in this recipe. I selected "Tostitos" brand "Thick 'n Chunky" style. I am now told that this particular salsa is well known for being extremely hot as well as difficult to digest. I prepared this quesadilla just as the recipe instructs for my husband and 2 grown children. When we sampled it, my lapse in judgement became painfully apparent, as the super spicy quesadilla was so hot that it burned the palate off our tongues. The four of us now face months of painful peridontal surgery. Please do not repeat my mistake. Mrs. Merle Knudsen, Coon Rapids, Minn.

    All the flavor for this comes from the salsa. It seems to have no flavor on its own. I used salsa I like, but I was expecting a lot more flavor from this quesadilla. Not sure why, now that I have reviewed the recipe again. You'd probably be best off using some spices in it.

    If you like beans and cheese and tortillas together. This was a nice change from the way I always just make cheese quesadillas. We added some garlic too, or you can just buy some salsa with garlic if you like that like we do. I made my own salsa and added garlic to it.

    I used whole black beans instead of refried. These were so easy and tasty! We also added some chopped jalapenos for some heat. Personal preference.

    I cant even spell this much less make it. LOL. But I watched Sandra make it on tv and except for the beans (i have a chronic bloating condition it was fun to watch her do it. It's fun to watch her make all of her foods! They are a bit complicated for me but she is so bubbly and fun that I just have to watch her show any time its on. So do my friends. They were afraid to use spray cheese before but thanks to Sandra and her show they do it all the time now. I'm thinking of trying it too and I'm not even creative. It's because Sandra just makes everything fun and easy. "Keep it fun and easy" is what she always says! LOL Sandra we love your show!
