I am only rating on the marinade. This was my first attempt of making wings and my husband couldn't stop raving! He even posted a picture to FB because he was so excited to share. I soaked the wings in the buttermilk and I believe that made them very tender. I used a different Sandra Lee recipe for the cooking method and baked them covered with foil. Then my adventurous husband talked me into making 4 sauces! We used one Sandra Lee sauce, sweet chili sauce, Sunny Anderson's honey bbq (my fav, Claire Robinson's dry rub from her bbq chicken, and a traditional Frank's Hot sauce. The sweet chili sauce didn't have enough heat for my hubby so he mixed in Frank's and loved it. If you don't have a grill you can definetily still make them in the oven.

Anyone have a homemade substitute for 'Buffalo Wings Seasoning'? I get headaches from pre-made seasonings, especially the envelope-style ones Sandra relies on. Probably shouldn't try this recipe.

Made twice, once with wings and once with skinless drumsticks; I liked the latter much more.

These wings were very easy to make. Very tender and juicy. Flavor was great as well...just enough heat!!!

I love hot wings, and this is the best sauce-less recipe ever. It's my husband?s favorite!

First off, let me say that Sandra Lee is not my favorite cook. But I saw her making these wings, and I thought "What the heck, I'll give them a try." Due to poor planning, I didn't realize that I needed to let them marinate for so long, so they only marinated in my fridge for about 2 hours, then I broiled them for about 25 minutes. Are they Buffalo Wild Wings or Hooters quality? No. Were they yummy? DEFINITELY. They don't have a real spicy kick, but that's OK with me, I like my wings mild anyway. I served them with chunky blue cheese dressing from a bottle, and my husband and I ate them up. Next time I probably will marinate them longer, just to see if more flavor seeps in, but I wouldn't marinate them overnight. I may also try grilling them, although turning the broiler on high gave the chicken nice brown skin. Overall, pretty good for "semi-homemade".

I added cayenne pepper to the mix to make them a little bit hotter & these wings are better grilled than baked. I tried baking & grilling but found that grilling them holds the flavor to the wings better

So this was really tasty. I added Franks Red Hot Sauce and some Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce...i used McCormick Hickory BBQ wing packet. These are delicious.... Try it out and then try your own interpretation!!!

Even though the marinade tasted good after everything was mixed together, when the wings were finished baking they were very bland. We ate three and threw the rest out. What a waste of time and money!
