I gave this 1 star only because I couldn't give it a negative rating. I made these cupcakes tonight to bring as a dessert to someone's house. First, the batter only made 12 cupcakes, not 24 and no one even wanted to lick the bowl because the batter didn't taste right nor was it thick like it should be. Second, I did not like the very runny consistency of the filling. My son said it looked like diarrhea. I had to agree. I tossed that filling mixture and made a pudding instead that I used to fill the cupcakes. This was the first of Sandra Lee's recipes I've tried. Don't think I'll be trying another.

Want to make these cupcakes, but wondering if the icing shouldn't be white rather than chocolate. The picture shows white and I would think you would need that in order for the red lines and eyeballs to show effectively. Did I miss something?

My cousins and I made these cupcakes for fun and we loved them, they were easy and fast to make. They tasted great! We will definitely make them when we have our Halloween party. I loved the recipe so much that I might just make these cupcakes for every event, just not add the eyeballs.

But they were pretty bad. I used chocolate pudding instead of butterscotch, and it was just too rich. I did not like the consistency it came out to, but used it anyways in the cupcakes. I filled a few up and had people try them, we all decided to just frost the remainder without filling them. It was just not very good.

THE PHOTO SHOWS THE CUPCAKES WITH WHITE FROSTING. HOWEVER, THE RECIPE CALLS FOR DARK CHOCOLATE FROSTING....OPPS

I AGREE WITH ANOTHER REVIEWER, USE GUMMY EYEBALLS. THE PLASTIC ONES COULD BE CHOKEING HASSARD
