Because of the bleak reviews I changed up this recipe. I used chive and onion cream cheese and half of what was called for in the recipe. I also used gorgonzola cheese instead of blue. I rolled mine in chopped pecans. It was very tasty. Sandra you inspire me!!

I recently had this at a Christmas get-together. It was wonderful. It was prepared a little differently than the recipe here. The dates were mixed into the cheese mixture into one cheese ball and it was covered with crumbled bacon bits. Even a person that doesn't like dates loved this!

I made this for a baby shower recently. I had over 15 people ask for the recipe. I had some turkish apricots on hand, so I chopped some of those and added it to the dates. Everyone loved it. Thanks!!
