Made these for my brother as a welcome home gift. Making cupcakes are my "thing" and he's a fan of Boston Creme Pie so I was excited to find this recipe. Followed it exactly and they got rave reviews!

I think this recipe is exactly what it says, semi-homemade. It's super quick and easy and adds a tasty spin on plain cupcakes. Two of my student aides were having a bake sale to raise money for a trip to Boston, and they asked me if I would make something. I thought these would be an appropriate dessert to make and they sold out quickly! I've even had them requested at their other two bake sales.

These are the BEST cupcakes! Made them the first time with 2 other cupcake recipes that were good but these were the ones that went the quickest. My husband LOVES them, made them for his bday and I had to give them to neighbors so that I wouldn't eat them all! Easy to make and so DELICIOUS!! You've gotta try these! I actually took some of the middle out of the cupcake with a plastic orange core remover and then used a plastic bag cut in the corner to fill the middle with the pudding. This recipe is perfect just the way it is!

Got the stuff to make these and from the other reviews, it sounds pretty good. Any advice? i"ve seen a lot of reviews that say it's too much vanilla. Is it?

Sounds really bad. Its just assembling a bunch of plastic boxed stuff. Maybe good for teaching a 5 year old to cook.
