Why am I giving this recipe 5 stars? No, it is not complex, but it is fast, easy and taste good. Let's face it, sometimes you just need to get dinner on the table, and can't afford to eat out all the time! So saying that, this salad fits the bill, everyone enjoys it, and I get asked for the recipe all the time. I use craisins in place of the raisins, and I toast the nuts. I can make this in 5 min.!

I'm really not a fan of coleslaws because of the mayo, but I had to try this one! I was in a pinch with some friends coming over to grill, and I ended up having all of the ingredients in the pantry. Such a convenience! Do go scant on the dressing- I actually had less than a cup in the bottle, which was just enough to coat the broccoli slaw enough. I did not have almonds, but its not a big deal. I'd love to try this one with bacon like other reviewers suggested- bacon + ranch = perfect :-
This will certainly become a staple for summer get togethers!

Ok, so I made this slaw & it was a hit, however I did alter it a little. I used 2 bags 12 oz each of the slaw, not even 1/2 bottle of ranch dressing, golden raisins,& slivered almonds, 3 packs of splenda & course ground black pepper . We ate it the same night I made it but it had much more flavor the next day. Will make it again as it was a hugh hit with Family & Friends.

This isn't even a recipe, she just opened a bag, all she does on her show is opens boxes and promotes a hatred of cooking!

Great 'slaw' alternative. And it is so blissfully easy to prepare. Feel free to go light on the Ranch dressing and add more after if you need to. The almonds are a nice touch. Additionally, you can easily substitute a low-cal/low-fat Ranch dressing you normally enjoy as well. The raisins and ranch flavor make this more kid friendly than your typical coleslaw side dish.

This is a great recipe any time. It is Dec. and I am making it. I used kraft coleslaw dressing and golden raisins and chopped walnuts. This is super crunchy. You could add chopped apples (Your favorite kindand dried cranberries, maybe try your favorite dressing, try you mix in a small separate bowl, smaller amounts of your ingredients. I prefer mine a little sweet. The skies the limit!

I actually had never eaten broccoli slaw until making this recipe, and both my husband and I love it! The flavors and texture are great and it is a nice twist on the basic cole slaw. I would recommend trying it for a potluck or barbeque!

Such a shame that anonymous people have nothing better to do than to downrate a recipe because the TV personality isn't their favorite. Get a life people. You mess things up for the readers and viewers--US--not the Food Network star.
This is a delicious side dish for crabcakes, for burger night or a picnic, or with a hot summer night array of salads and antipasti. People's tastes vary, so start with half a cup of ranch dressing and add more as needed. Thanks for the suggestion of adding real bacon--bacon and ranch are true soul mates. Next time I'm going to try adding some crumbled Gorgonzola. Great salad!!

I thought this was a very easy recipe that tasted good. I used golden raisins, and didn't have slivered almonds, but chopped some whole ones up in my chopper. My bag of broccoli slaw was only 12 oz. (recipe says 16oz. bag. I used two bags of the slaw mix (24oz. total, but am sure I didn't use as much ranch dressing as it called for. I used light ranch and only wanted to add as many calories as necessary so I just squirted some on, stirred, and added it until I thought it had enough. I put a lid on and shook the bowl to coat the entire mixture. Good use for my 99-cent packs of broccoli slaw that had an expiration date of today! I had all the other ingredients on hand.

This recipe is very tasty and different. The slivered almonds give it a nice crunch, I have omitted the almonds and the taste is wonderful. A real keeper!
