I could only use 1 cup of flour, the dough was extremely stiff and hard to work so I did not add that final half a cup. I did not refrigerate the cookies and the cookie sheet just before baking, and they came out just fine (no spreading, etc, nice and thick. I wanted to use this as a test run since I don't really care for store bought cookie dough - it's typically way to sweet for me. Now that I know the extra flour and refrigerator time *will* make a thick sugar cookie, I'll try it with a made from scratch recipe that doesn't use as much sugar. Thanks Sandra Lee!

Note - for the icing I used added corn syrup to help make it harder.

Dang!! So easy. Don't forget to freeze before bake;. Try higher in the oven not in the center. I used different cutters. With lot's of colors. My guest thought I bought them. How cool is that?

This recipe is a keeper! This is an easy dessert, but you need especially wonderful hand-eye coordination to keep the frosting as need as Sandra Lee! Try this dessert for your Easter brunch!!

Disappointing way to spend Easter eve. The extract was a pain to add and lended very little flavor. We finally gave up after the first batch and ate the raw dough.

I followed the recipe to a "T". It took me 5 hours to complete this project and my bunnies looked like Mickey Mouse and the Easter Eggs just looked like circles. I improvised and got it done anyway but I will never be trying another recipe from her show again. I spent too much time to have a product like I got.

    The instructions must be wrong.

My children lost patience with these very quickly. I finished the decorating on my own but the taste of the finished product was nothing special. I think I'd rather have the boys help me measure and stir a from-scratch recipe. It's quality time with them and the results actually taste good.

Our attempt was a disaster! Younger kids can't possibly participate in this and older kids are bored by it.

Sandra Lee may not be a chef extraordinaire, but she has good ideas for moms with kids who are old enough to want to make something fun but too young to do complex cooking. And it is telling that the women who seem to have a pathological hatred for Sandra Lee (a little bit of thinandblondophobia, perhaps? have enough time to write trash about her but not enough to get a meal on the table. Whatever, ladies.
