    I wouldn't rate a recipe I didn't make. If you don't like squash in risotto, and made them separately, then you didn't make this recipe, so the review is not too helpful IMO. I made this and it came out great. The squash cooked through for me, and the risotto was creamy and good!

    My butternut squash didn't cook through either. I dropped by the grocery store and told them they sliced the squash wrong. I mean really, why should I have to get out a measuring tape every time I need to cook a meal? After all, this is SEMI-HOMEMADE.

    They don't go well together, IMO. And I also had a hard time getting the sqaush to cook using the times given in this recipe.

    Very blah and boring recipe. Especially with the butternut squash, which doesn't have much taste on it's own. Probably would have been better with a different veggie.

    I was a bit disappointed. I had to cook it longer than I should have to get the squash to cook through. This made the rice mushy. But it tasted ok.

    I didn't know you could buy risotto "mixes"!! It tastes just as good as the long way of making it. I usually only make mushroom risotto.. this squash version with the mix tasted fantastic and came out perfect.

    It exceeding expectations. The squash flavor shined through, and the onions and mushroom and parmessan went great with it.
