I wish I had put in the work and made the cake and icing myself. I didn't like the chemical taste and the texture of the pound cake which was spongy. The only things I really liked about this dessert were the jam and the strawberries.

This was all looks and no taste I feel as though a lot of sandra lee recipes are just for looks, the pound cake and the ice cream did not taste good together however when i've done pound cake and strawberry shortcake just in a sloppy bowl they were great...all in all too much work for too little taste

IMO this is a silly idea, but I didn;t realize that until I was in the middle of making them. They look terrible and taste only slightly better.

I gave my neice a baby shower, and made these petit fours, but I made my own poundcake, and knowing the baby was a girl, just followed her directions! These go over very well here in the South, and they were a big hit! Thanks Sandra!

These look nice, like all her food, but what I too often find is that her recipes look better than they taste. If you like Petit Fours, you will be very disappointed. I get hooked into "the look" and her beautiful table scapes, but time and time again her recipes dissapoint. If pretty is better than authentic taste, go for it.

pretty bad. They are hard to keep and eat and the taste isn't worth all the work.
