This is a hodgepodge that is not so easy to make. For a simpler, fabulous recipe that is easier to make, try Giada's Orange Vinagrette Salad. Now that is worth having!!!!

Serve the dressing on the side is better. Use whole leaf Boston lettuce is good.

about 5 yrears ago my sons girlfriend, now wife, had a salad w/coated walnuts and I tasted it & I loved it. Was pleased Sandra offered her recipe. I made mine w/SPLENDA the 1st time. My second time Easter I will try sugar to see if it is better or the same.

I just made the candied walnuts and found them to be too sweet for me. I don't think that they needed to extra cinnamon-sugar coating after the glaze. Next time I won't add that part.

I loved the candied walnuts and the only addition I would make is to add blue cheese. Just a nice salad and easy.

I was disappointed that the salad didn't call for any butter. I guess this was a mistake. I added half a stick anyway.

My family loves this. They are usually a simple meat and potatoes type of eater, but this was a big hit and a repeat request.

We picked them out after we tasted them. But the cinnamon left a bitter taste in our mouths. Better without them.
