    For a recipe labeled "fast" and "easy," this recipe was anything but. I am a reasonably-experienced home baker and was really annoyed at how much of a pain these were to make. If they were good, it would have been worth it but they tasted like toothpaste. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is because my husband did like them, even though he's the only one. I suspect he was humoring me since he knows how hard they were to make, and to this day we refer to that Christmas as the one with the toothpaste cookies.

    This cookie is fantastic! I've read some reviews that say the peppermint is overpowering, but with the dough batch I had, it was just enough! They were light and soft and not overpowering at all. We really enjoyed them and every person who tried them wanted the recipe! Not to mention you can do them in different colors and shapes for any time of year.

    We make this cookie every year and I must say adding the peppermint this year gave the cookie quite a zing! These are fast and easy and the kids all go for these first! I will definitely cut back on the peppermint,however, just a presonal preference (and it doesn't effect the cookie. The trick to the dough is make sure that you follow the directions precisely and don't skimp on the MAIN ingredients. You do need to work the dough until it is all moistened. The prep and cook time take no time at all and we love them. Thank you Sandra!

    Although the cookie was good it was very time comsuming and not the easiest to make also the peppermint is overpowering I think half would do fine if not at all. Overall its a good cookie just not sure if I would take the time and effort to make these again.

    Ok so I usually don't eat anything with the words "candy cane" in them or alone but I tried this recipe and it was easy but I didn't have enough ingredients so I tried again later on and they were well better than I thought were going to be.

    It was a nice change from the normal sugar cookie. The shape of the cookie was cute it just looked like it was missing icing or something on it... Easy to make though..
