I am not a huge rice eater, I find it both boring and tasteless. That was not the case with this rice dish! I used what I had which was chicken rice mix and used half the chicken powder so the chicken flavor was not too overpowering. The raisins added a slight burst of sweetness and the cashews added a crunch which made me look forward to every bite!

cut open about 4 bags of boil in a bag uncle bens 10 minute rice and followed the recipe and my rice didn't come out mushy, it was actually quite tasty. I was heavy on the cinnamon, and used a butter substitute and it was a crowd pleaser!

I thought this dish was great! I've read most of the other reviews, and it seems that personalizing the recipe is always best. I used basmati rice, used almonds instead of cashews (picked up the wrong thing at the grocery store, and added the raisins to the rice before steaming (to plump them up. To bring out more flavor and add a nice crunch, I toasted the almonds before adding them to the dish. And for those that thought it was too bland, adding a little more salt helps bring out the sweet flavor. This recipe is a great way to "spice" up your everyday rice.

I used Jasmine Rice and made sure to season it while it was cooking. The cashews and raisins make all the difference!!

I used rice that I already had on hand and thought the recipe was absolutely wonderful. The raisins and cashews were a great touch.
I didn't use the chicken broth, but used water for my rice. I used all the other ingredients.
For those other reviewers that complained about the rice; just do what I did and use the rice you normally use.

I added a little more cinnamon, and my family liked it. Have to make rice exactly right. Very good.

I must admit I had never tried the instant rice before and when I made it, I reminded myself why. It broke up when the dish was combined and it felt like little pebbles in my mouth. I do like the cashews and raisins and will use them with regular rice. The other flavors were great but not with that pebbly crumbly rice.

My family disliked the rice. Lacked taste and texture. The raisins were hard and the nuts too soft, somehow, too.

I made this recipe according to directions. I found it tasty and with good fluffy consistency. Will make it again this weekend.

The rice was mushy and didn't have much taste. I don't recommend it.
