After watching Sandra Lee make this soup, it sounded so good so I came on here, checked out the reviews, ran to the store and made it myself.
Some helpful hints. I used 2 cans of cheddar cheese soup + 1 can of cream of chicken. I think this evens out the overly cheesy taste that people were talking about. I also added salt and pepper to taste, and about 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. I even got brave and added about 1/2 tablespoon of butter. I find also that if you want a thinner soup, you need to add a little more chicken stock. And of course we all know, you can never put too much green onion or bacon! This is my first time making this kind of soup and it came out awesome. Though I did use Sandra Lee as inspiration, a few of my own little tricks made the soup even better!

Although I wasn't "wowed" by this recipe, it still tasted pretty good and it was certainly easy and cheap to make. My husband loved it so I will continue to make it.

I can't believe the name of this show has anything to do with elegance. There is nothing elegant about this soup. It was just flat out gross. It was very thick and way too cheesy. I love cheese, but this was a fake cheese taste. Would not recommend this to anyone.

My family enjoyed this soup. Although it was nothing fancy or extraordinary, with a few adjustments, it was pretty good and easy to make. I added a couple of extra potatoes and a little tabasco. I also didn't have any bacon and substituted little smokies instead. With a little sour cream and shredded cheddar on top, it was pretty tasty.

This soup tasted great and was filling! My family ate it right up! It was EASY! I would suggest using 2 or 3 potatoes - not just one.

I added to this recipe. I put 2 cans of milk and added broccoli to this recipe and my family loves it.
I used frozen broccoli cooked as directed on the package.
I left off the sour cream.
The second time I made it I had to double the recipe.

This recipe was very tasty everyone just loved it. Even my picky son cleaned his bowl. I used two potatoes instead of the one, used two cups of stock and half a cup of water, and cut half a pack of bacon up and crisped it in a pan. It wasn't too thin but I used two potatoes. Next time I will double the batch, because that poor little pot didn't last too long. This was a very good version of potato soup. I will definitely fix this one again, just make a bigger pot next time. For sure going into my favorites pile.

I doubled the recipe and used an extra can of cream of chicken soup and 6 cups of chicken broth and added some pepper and the whole family enjoyed it. It's quick and easy and pretty cheat to make. I will for sure make this again.

We made this soup during the cold winter months. Quick and easy. Definately a keeper!
