I have made this recipe multiple times and with different fruits and everyone always loves them! My favorite combination is cherries and blueberries. I add raw sugar in the mixture with a bag of frozen cherries and half a bag of frozen blueberries along with the can of cherry pie filling. So yummy.... :P

Yummy pie - did have to bake it longer to get the lower level of the lattice to bake crispy. Add 5 more minutes in the oven and use a pie crust shield if the outer edge starts to brown too much. Delish!

I used my own crust and a 9" pie pan. The pan was too large for this recipe so I just added one drained can of tart cherries. Terrific!

I used a bag of frozen Bing (sweet dark cherries instead of the mix berries, added 2 T. of sugar, and did not lattice the crust to save even more time. My family LOVES this recipe, and could not tell I'd used canned filling - they thought it was simply a combo of tart and sweet cherries. I have a certificate in french cooking at a local school, so I do know how to toil over scratch cooking. But with life in general, we all need tips and tricks and time saving winners. Sandra delivers with this one! I am a big fan and admire her well-deserved success. The Kirsch is a nice touch too.

the pie was very easy and quick to make. I was glad I added two tablespoons of tapioca. this kept the pie from being too runny. Did not have any Kirsch so I used triple sec (an orange flavored liqueur the results were a very good berry pie.

Tasted very cheap and institutional. Like bad cafeteria food.

I made this pie after I read all the great reviews. It was not easy and surely did not look nice and it tasted like cheap canned pie filling. I was really disappointed in it
