This pot pie is absolutely delicious! I double everything, including biscuits (Butter Grands. Make sure you use Campbells soup-I used store brand once and it was not as good. I prefer Purdue Shortcuts Chicken-honey flavor-I've never used turkey. My husband and I are in love with this recipe!

Saw Sandra make this & was thrilled to see a meal created from things that I knew I could get at our grocery store! It's delicious, got everything - carbs, veggies & meat - & so easy for someone just getting acquainted with cooking family meals. Thank you, Sandra. Looking forward to trying more recipes from your shows!

My husband grew up on a farm and this was one of his favorite dinners. I was able to cook anything except this dinner. After I saw this show and you cook this dinner I tried it. My husband now says it is better then his moms. Instead of using deli turkey I use the real thing. My kids who are 4 and5 even love it.

I saw this being made on TV and came to the site to get the recipe. I always read the reviews first and was puzzeled by the extremes in them. Then I read the recipe. For one thing on the show she stressed that the frozen veggies should be thawed, but it wasn't mentioned in the printed version. Also, I agree with the person who questioned the 2 hour bake time. Everything is already pre-cooked except the potatoes and surely as small as they're cut it shouldn't take 2 hours to cook. Also 350 degrees is not slow cooker temp. I thought maybe she meant 250 but no it says 350. I would think it would really dry out or maybe even burn. I do know from cooking biscuit topped cobbler that the food has to be boiling, bubbling hot when you drop the biscuits on top and bake them at 400 for 15-18 min. Haven't tried it yet as I was trying to clarify these points.

I normally don't cook and was channel surfing when I came across this recipe being made. It looked absolutly yummy. The whole dish turned out perfect, I had to bake the bsicuits a little longer until they were a nice golden brown. I cooked my own chicken (boneless skinless thighs and turkey (breast w/skin the night before, then added it to the dish when I made it the next day. I added extra corn cuz I love corn. The potatoes were cubed just right, they cooked completely. Yummy, this is a keeper. This is my favorite kind of food...comfort food.

I used my left over turkey from Thanksgiving instead of the chicken and ham and this was GREAT! Even my kids loved it. It was very simple to do and tastes great. I added a little chicken stock the last few minutes of cooking b/c we liked it a little thinner and it helped in cooking the potaotes. The biscuits are a little moist on the bottom so if that bothers you, you can cook them separatly and then add them to the top. All in all this was a great meal and I will defi be making this again and again. It was a nice change for left over turkey and would be great for chicken too.

TELL ME WHY ANYONE WOULD MAKE THIS SLOW COOKER RECIPE WITH MEAT THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN THOROUGHLY COOKED??? MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE WHATSOEVER.
