I'm married and the mother of 3 sons ages 13, 19 and 23 all living at home. They all are picky eaters and I rarely find something that they all enjoy. I made this- doubled the recipe- and they loved it. I only used chicken that I cooked down and removed from bone. Then used the broth along with the cream of chicken soup. I also pre-cooked the potatoes. This was wonderful and I have added it to my favorite recipe's list.

We enjoyed the recipe though it required 30 minutes longer cook time than shown. After suggested time of 1 1/2 hours, potatoes were raw I believe due to frozen vegetables & frozen onions. Recipe did not specify cooked or uncooked turkey breast. I used uncooked, would use cooked next time. Will also double the amount of chicken seasoning as well. I used whole wheat biscuits (Pillsbury Grands. My husband says it is a keeper.

I am not a big turkey fan but this recipe is just great, and very easy to do if you don't have a lot of time on your hands. I did change a couple of things, but other than that, this recipe is a winner!

Instead of using chicken and turkey, I used all turkey. I went to the deli counter of my grocery store, asked for two 1lb slabs of turkey breast deli meat..Much easier than cooking a turkey or buying a precooked turkey breast. I also didn't use Chicken seasoning, instead I used plain old Poultry seasoning which I think made it taste even better. The only thing about this receipe is that the cooking time needs to a bit longer, once you put the biscuits on top, more like 20-25 minutes if you are using a regular(non convection oven.

I made this after work so I didn't have time to slow cook everything. I also didn't have turkey so I just used chicken. I heated all the ingredients on the stove top and then put it all in a casserole dish, put the biscuits on top (etc. It turned out fantastic! My teenage son doesn't like traditional pot-pie and he LOVED this! He said the biscuits tasted like chicken and dumplings and he loves that! This was really excellent!

I cut the recipe in half and used frozen southern style hashbrowns in place of potatoes. Came out really good and was even more simple!

My husband and I did a throwdown between two chicken potpies I used Sandra Lee's recipe and he used a recipe out of an old cookbook. We invited family over to judge and Sandra Lee's recipe won. Everyone loved the biscuits and the combination of chicken and turkey so yes I was the throwdown queen of the chicken potpie. I will definitely make this again. Instead of red potatoes I used frozen potatoes just a handfull or so and used a 1/2 can of chicken broth.

Made the pot pie last night. On the upside is was pretty easy. It came out a little dry and I didn't cook as long as recommended. It was kind of bland. It just wasn't anything special. You can tell out our house that something was good if there are no leftovers, and there were plenty of plates half eaten. I might try a homemade pot pie again but not this exact recipe.

We just loved this recipe! I used smoked turkey and oven roasted chicken and added some dried dill. Would make this recipe again.

1 1/2 hour cooking time is not nearly enough...seasonings just didn't do it justice and the biscuits on top were all given to my golden retriever.
