    I made this recipe exactly as written. It's perfect. I wouldn't add or delete anything! This recipe yields a highly above average chicken fried steak. The gravy is yummo!

    The ranch dressing is a great addition, and this is the best ever gravy. My husband loves chicken fried steak, so I have begrudgingly (in my mind made it for him for years, and just made something else for myself. But this is a meal we both enjoyed. THANKS!

    Call me old fashioned, but I like real chicken fried steak and gravy. The ranch dressing was funny tasting to me.

    This recipe was so yummy! The gravy was so marvelous that I now use it on everything. I didn't use buttermilk because I was out. Instead, I used about 7/8 c. whole milk and 1/8 c. ranch dressing to make up for it. It turned out perfect :
