I was tired of making the cube steak the same way and wanted a little bit of a twist. I have 3 boys and they loved it! The man loved it! I thought it was flavorful, I did add some seasoned salt to the flour that I used for the batter but everything else I kept the same. The mashed potatoes and string beans, and biscuits were a great finish to the dish!

This was a flop for my tastes. The dressing mix was way too over powering and the coating was ... weird ... once it was cooked.
I won't be trying this one again.

I found this recipe very simple to make and it was delicious. My husband and I both enjoyed it and it is difficult to find a dish we both agree upon.

I love this recipe. It was so easy and these days, being 3 days over our due date, quick and easy recipes are the key... I did change the meat type thouhg, I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts instead and pounded them out. I also fried them for four minutes on each side but them put them on a cookie sheet and baked them for 30 minutes, to make sure they were fully cooked...
My husband adored them and couldn't say enough about them...
Thanks so much for making such an easy and tasty recipe...

This dish wasn't all bad, but the only thing that stood out is that the ranch flavoring gave the steak a funky, sour twang to it.

I loved the ranch twist although my family did not. I found that dipping the steaks in the flour and batter twice made the batter fall off while frying which made a big mess. I fixed the others by dipping just once and that made a big difference. The gravy in this recipe was okay but not great. I used McCormick's Country gravy mix (it is a great mix, with the buttermilk and the results were mixed. It kind of grows on you but it is definitely different and not like the country gravy I am used to from the South. Overall the recipe was good but I would not use the buttermilk gravy again.

Super salty and very greasy. The gravy recipe is really good though.

I Made This Recipe & The Steak Was Pretty Good Cooked Alittle Longer Than suggested But Good! But I Made The Gravy With Country Gravy Mix, Thought THe Buttermilk Taste Was Too Strong!! If I Use This Recipe Again Will not Use The Butter Milk For The Gravy.
