Me thinks it ridiculous to rank a recipe with 5 stars when you have to make substantial changes to the recipe in order to make it taste good! This recipe is a great example. Sandra really hurts the recipe by using store bought guacamole and then does not bother specifying a brand. C'mon, Sandra! You mention Lawry and Knudsen and many other brands. Why not the brand of guacamole? And using frozen onion? Really? You freeze onion slices? How long do you keep them? This would have been helpful information.

For a recipe that takes about 10 minutes preparation (aside from the marinating this is a true winner. My only problem was getting the corn tortillas to stay warm, but that's my issue and not the lovely "Ms. L's". This is flat out delicious and so easy, it's a keeper.

My husband and I had this dish for dinner tonight. Really fantastic. The bottled marinade was so expensive that I made my own Chipotle Lime marinade. Also, basic guacamole is nearly as easy to make as it is to open a package, so I made it as well. I add finely chopped onion to my guacamole, so did not add more to the tacos. The shredded cabbage surprised us with how well it works with these flavors. Homemade marinade and homemade guacamole being my only substitutions, this was outstanding ~ and surprisingly easy to prepare!

This is a great recipe. I substituted Lawry's Baja chipotle for the Mexican chile and lime marinade and added about 3 table spoons instead of the entire 8 oz container of sour cream (We like things a little spicy. I am not entirely to sure why it calls for a frozen onion, but I did not follow that part of the recipe. This will become a regular weeknight meal.

Super easy, fast and very tasty. I used fat free sour cream and whole wheat torillas to make it low cal and added avacado. Awesome!
