I made this for my husband and I last night and we ate it all. I did cut the ribs back to about 2 1/2 lbs and halved the other ingredients and it turned out great. I served them with rice. My husband called it comfort food. I really enjoy the show and think the negative comments are mean and undeserved. Sandra is a beautiful and talented cook and hostess!

This was HORRIBLE!!!!! The taste was absolutely disgusting...the meat was tender but that was due to the meat, not the recipe. I am so disappointed in Sandra Lee. I not only wasted money in making this but I wasted my time as well. I had to throw it out and actually made a frozen dinner for my husband and I, how sad. I will never use chinese five spice again nor any other recipe from her.

These were really easy and everyone loved them. I did add only 1 TB of the 5 spice powder instead of 2. They were so moist and full flavor.

...I did the very same thing...MADE THESE FOR MY BOYFRIEND and I haven't seen him since. He has also parental controlled my TV--his exact words, "NO MORE SLOP FOR YOU." I guess my sweetie has standards when it comes to his ribs.

My boyfriend had some short ribs that he wanted me to prepare so I made this recipe to give them a different twist and they turned out really good and tender.
