I served this pie room temp - within 2 hours of baking it. Honestly, it tasted a little to "eggy" for me, but was OK. We had it the next day chilled, and it was much better and tasted like a chocolate pie - instead of egg custard.

I rated this once but it wasn't posted. The recipe calls for 2 TBSP of vanilla and I think that's a misprint.. Way too much vanilla led to a funky flavor.
