I made this brisket tonight for my husband and he loved it. I also took the advise of lizebrown and saved the broth and used it when I plated and served my brisket. It was WONDERFUL!!! This is a very simple recipe to make and I will be looking forward to eating this again. Thanks Sandra Lee!!!!!!!

This was really good but take lizebrowns advise and save the leftover broth. Everyone in my house loved it

Made the brisket yesterday for company. It was quite good and I received a lot of compliments.......also request for recipe. I thought it was a tad dry, but no one agreed with me. It made the house smell terrific. I should have saved all the left over cooking broth instead of throwing away, but I wasn't sure what I would do with it. Definitely would make again.

This was a hit! I only mopped with sauce for 20 minutes and it turned out wonderfully good. Very tender.

Be sure to braise meat with the fat side up. Let the fat melt down in to the meat to keep it from turning out dry. Also, I used a spicy BBQ Sauce because brisket is better with a little kick.
For those that are getting a salty result, don't salt the meat before putting on the meatloaf seasoning. That seasoning mix has 550 mg of Sodium.
I rubbed both sides of the brisket with seasoning mix and then let it sit for 2 hours before putting it in the braise. You could also smoke the brisket for an hour or so before braising.
Not bad Sandy!

Not worth the time or effort. Very bland and although appeared juicy seemed dry. Could possibly be better if you play with a dry rub instead of meatloaf mix and tweek cooking time/temp.
