The meat was very dry and overcooked. It got all stringy. It was also much too salty.

My husband is from texas so it would have to be quite a brisket to impress him and he was over the moon.

I love brisket in restaurants but could never make one as good. This one is better.

This was an ok recipie but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it again. I like the smoker for my brisket.

I normally smoke my briskets for 12+ hours in an outdoor smoker, but decided I try this recipe after seeing it on Sandra Lee. We were having a spell of bad weather so I didn't want to deal with my outside grill. The results were pretty amazing. The brisket fell apart nicely and was extremely tender. My wife actually liked this much more than my smoked version (Texas style, although my male friends and I prefer the smoked version. Overall I found this very easy to make and overall tasted great (like pot roast really. Give it a try if you're running short on time or the weather is bad... it's worth it.
