Since it is too early for me to do a turkey and I am always looking for different ways to cook chicken, I decided to try the glaze on the chicken I had thawed. Somehow, between my computer and the kitchen though, I added 1/4 cup brown sugar to the mixture to be brushed on the turkey. I used it anyway adding a bit of water to make it more spreadable. OMGoodness! I will definitely do that mistake again! It was delicious! I am going to do the brined turkey for Thanksgiving. I know it will be great. BTW - I watched the video again and did not see her sleeve touch the turkey at all.

This was the first turkey I ever made, I'm not really a turkey fan, always finding it very dry. The turkey was by far dry. Everyone thought it was the best turkey they ever had. I did the brining the day before, it was so moist and delicious. Full of flavor, I will make it for sure again, I think I will make it for my next dinner party . Great recipe, Thank You.

I didn't have enough time for the brine, but I hope to next time... Even w/out brining, this turkey turned out beautifully -- very juicy and flavorful, and the prep was so easy!

This was a great brine. All of the guests thought the turkey had good flavor and was very juicy. We were afraid it would be to "applely" but it wasn't at all. I forgot the glaze until the very end, but since we don't eat the skin anyway, we didn't miss it.

This is THE BEST turkey I have ever had! I have always used the browning bags for my turkeys, but thought I would try something new. This turkey was moist and delicious! I only did a couple things differently - I stuffed the cavity with fresh sage, rosemary, thyme, 2 quartered lemons, a quartered orange and a a quartered onion.
Phenomenal! Sandra Lee is my new favorite chef on Food Network!

This recipe made the turkey have such a lovely sweet, moist, and enjoyable flavor. Normally I look forward to second helpings of my potatoes, but this recipe had me craving for more turkey.

I am hoping to WOW my family over with this Cider Glazed Turkey ... I told my dad I got the turkey covered this year. So far the turkey is swimming in the brine... and when I was boiling the cider/herbs it smelled so yummy! I'll have to comment tomorrow after we've actually tasted the finished product. Don't let me down Sandra ... with whom I love. Thank you!!

I saw her do this on the show last week and it looks AMAZING! I have never brined a turkey before but have done a lot of research on it and it seems to be a great method. I will try it and come back and post again to let y'all know how it actually turned out. As for the comments about the way she dresses. What the heck does what she's wearing have to do with how well she cooks?! She probably doesn't even know what they are having her wear until its time to get dressed to tape the episode. I do agree that I love the fact she washes her hands regularly with soap. We should be commenting on the quality and ease of the recipes and methods used and giving tips about the things we have tried and asking questions rather then worring about the wardrobe.
