My wife made a batch the other day and I was amazed how good they were. The best part is they tasted just like the "Cinnibuns" you get at the mall but much cheaper.

I used pizza dough instead of bread dough, regular sugar versus brown sugar and Mascarpone cheese instead of cream cheese. Was a big hit with my family

I hate the high prices of the mall store, and was always so envious of friends who mentioned making cinnamon rolls at home!! That is, until I stayed w/a friend in CA who made me some of her "special" rolls using BREAD DOUGH!! She said she never made them from scratch anymore!!
They are delicious!! I usually just spread a thin layer of butter on the dough, sprinkle a thin layer of cinnamon and sugar on top of that, then roll -- easy enough to eyeball!! Enjoy!!

Yummy, yummy. I've made this recipes for parties and for family and friends. They love it, want the recipe and says it tastes like Cinnabun at the mall.

I made my own dough for this but found as previoius reviewers I halved the cinnamon mix which was about right at half, and the cream cheese icing I found to be way too sweet. I would probably half the sugar and put in more cream cheese and less butter in the future.

I have made these several times for my family and they have become a fast favorite. The rolls have a soft texture, not too much bread and the cinnamon filling just oozes out. Just be careful not to overcook or they will become crunchy like cinnamon toast. This recipe has found a permanent place in my recipe book.
