Don't understand the "YUK" reviews when so many loved it. I left off the chile seasoning packet and added my own spices. Sauce was far from thin. People drive miles to our local "Coney Island" drive-in. The sauce is SWEET which many reviewers protested.

We added diced tomatos on top. We also used Hoagie rolls, because I thought they would stand up better to the chili. YUM!

Ketchup with a packet of seasoning added is NOT chili. The sauce was thin, sweet, generally nasty and didn't taste like chili.

The "chili" was just terrible. Didn't taste anything like real chili. Tasted like Heinz Chili sauce, which is basically ketchup. Do yourself a favor and top your dog with real chili and not this.

These chili dogs were really good, thank you! We put ours unler the broiler for a minute or so to to melt the cheese even more, and then added the onions.

These are delish! We used smoked sausage instead of hot dogs and added some finely chopped jalapenos to the chili. Heavenly comfort food!

We chili dogs about once a month in my house, and I made them this way this time. I don't think they'll ever let me go back to opening a can again. They tasted great! It's almost as easy though, (and healthier too so I guess it's okay :

These are really really good! If you ahve time, it's so worth making the chili this way instead of opening a can.
