Everyone!! Please listen to my review and do not try this recipe!! These corn dogs were so grease soaken and not even edible!! I am a great cook and I fry often (so it is not due to the lack of frying skills that the temp of the oil was not hot enough it is due the the batter because it is a bread/muffin batter instead of a coating batter and those batters soak up more grease.. Do yourself a big favor and go with Alton's recipe or Paula's they are excellent.. Just as easy, not much different in the price and you will not wind up throwing your money in the trash..... Food network should have taste testers pass/fail recipes before putting slop recipes on the internet!!! Very disappointed..

So delicious and easy - I ate 2. I'm shocked that this recipe was too hard for some reviewers - pretty basic.

I highly recommend this reccipe to all, it's fun and easy and turned out great both times I made it. Due to lack of spaghetti seasoning I used season salt which worked out well. I love cooking with my partner and this was a fun and easy recipe for both of us to enjoy.

These corn dogs looked like fun for me and my daughter to make together. They turned out so bad, that i had to make 2 dinners that night. I would not recommend this recipe, leave it to the professionals at the corn dog factory. Frozen ones r way better.

I tried this recipe about 2 years ago. And My kids loved them. Now I find myself having to make them often. They are MUCH better then the store bought ones. I did have a couple of dos that the batter bubbled off of, but that was probably by a mistake that I made. I watched the show and did write anything down until the end of it. However, they are really great. A must try if you have children that love corn dogs!!

After reading through everyone's reviews, I decided to only use one packet of the spaghetti sauce between the flour and batter. I also lowered the temp of the oil to between 325 and 350. I do remember from the show that she specifically said to let the batter 'set' in the oil for a minute or two before turning the hotdog, as the batter will slip off otherwise. I also cut my hotdogs in half, so I had mini corndogs, without sticks. They turned out great, and my family loved them!!!

My husband and I really enjoyeed this! He's my taster so I had to cut recipe in half...I had left over buttermilk which I used instead and used coconut oil for the frying : Great flavor and I will make a full batch the next time we have more people to share this with. Read some of the other reviews and I think the key is not to turn them right away...let it cook and then turn them slowly as it will stick better. But loved the flavor! Thanks Sandra!
