This was great with some modifications. I used heavy cream in place of the chicken broth and added the zest and juice of one orange to make the glaze. I transferred the potatoes to an oven-safe casserole dish before adding the topping. I also mixed the marshmallows with the corn flakes, maple syrup, and pecans and poured it on the top. Then I set under the broiler for a few minutes so it crisped up and the marshmallows browned and melted. Heavenly!

Great recipe. Only thing I made differently was the crunchy topping. Made it with honey bunches of oats with almonds. Turned out great and everyone loved it.

I followed this recipe last Thanksgiving, and it was a hit with my guests. I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes at all, but I tasted these and I loved them. Very delicious, especially the "crunchy topping". I will be making these again this year for my husband's work Thanksgiving pot-luck. And probably every year from here on out.

I made this for thanksgiving and added some pineapple juice and chunked pineapple and it was absolutely delicious. It was a hit at the in-laws.. it was the buzz for weeks after.. thank you for a new concept to candied yams..

The topping is perfection! I followed the recipe up to the point of making the sauce. I didnt like the flavor combination so I discarded it and proceeded with our usual candied yam recipe. I placed the cooked potatoes into a glass baking dish and put a few pats of cold butter on top. Then I sprinkled with 1/2 cup of brown sugar and the topping from this recipe. I baked it in a 350 oven for about 30 minutes and the outcome was a smashing hit! A new favorite for my family! The corn cereal is so yummy in the topping...what a great idea! The maple syrup is also a nice flavor addition. I will make this at other times through the year since my kids and family love it so much!

These sweet potatoes turned out great. Raved about by everyone. This one will be a go to for years to come. Served it in the skillet with no complaints. Stovetop preparation is the real payoff.
Good work Sandra.
