Ingredients
- 1/2 cup country Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons herb garden seasoning
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley leaves
- 1 1/2 pounds thick-cut boneless pork loin chops
Directions
In a small bowl, combine the mustard, herb garden seasoning, garlic, honey and chopped parsley. Reserve 1/4 cup of the rub for serving.
Transfer mustard mixture to a resealable plastic bag. Add the pork chops and thoroughly coat with the mustard mixture. Let the pork chops sit for at least 5 minutes or as long as overnight, in the refrigerator, before grilling.
Heat a grill pan over medium heat. Grill the chops for 6 to 7 minutes per side.
Transfer to a serving platter and serve sprinkled with the reserved rub.

Herb Garden seasoning is a discontinued product from McCormick's. The chops were really good though. Poke around and find a comparable herb mix.

I'm not sure what Sandra's seasoning blend is actually called but my latest favorite is "McCormick's salt free garlic and herb seasoning". They recently added "perfect pinch" to the label. I use the seasoning on a variety of meats, especially grilled or baked fish, but we also like it on potatoes. One can add salt to a recipe if desired but several in my family are reducing their sodium intake so this seasoning blend adds great flavor without the salt. Enough commercial for the seasoning!
We enjoyed the pork and will make it again.

I've never seen or heard of "herb garden seasoning" as a grocery item but I have a nearly exact duplicate for this recipe in one of my cookbooks; it calls for a blend of dried herbs including marjoram, sage, thyme, and parsley. I suppose dill and maybe basil could be added if you like. And buying the herbs separately is more economical if you use the in more than this one recipe. This is a really yummy dish, though, so I can't complain beyond not knowing what the blend includes. Mind you, about a teaspoon or teaspoon and a half of olive or whatever oil you prefer makes it a little easier to grill. MHO.
