Herb Garden seasoning is a discontinued product from McCormick's. The chops were really good though. Poke around and find a comparable herb mix.

I'm not sure what Sandra's seasoning blend is actually called but my latest favorite is "McCormick's salt free garlic and herb seasoning". They recently added "perfect pinch" to the label. I use the seasoning on a variety of meats, especially grilled or baked fish, but we also like it on potatoes. One can add salt to a recipe if desired but several in my family are reducing their sodium intake so this seasoning blend adds great flavor without the salt. Enough commercial for the seasoning!
We enjoyed the pork and will make it again.

I've never seen or heard of "herb garden seasoning" as a grocery item but I have a nearly exact duplicate for this recipe in one of my cookbooks; it calls for a blend of dried herbs including marjoram, sage, thyme, and parsley. I suppose dill and maybe basil could be added if you like. And buying the herbs separately is more economical if you use the in more than this one recipe. This is a really yummy dish, though, so I can't complain beyond not knowing what the blend includes. Mind you, about a teaspoon or teaspoon and a half of olive or whatever oil you prefer makes it a little easier to grill. MHO.

I am not a big pork person and I made this for my fiance, his brother and father and we all loved it! I have been making it ever since. I make it exactly as the recipe calls for (except I may add a little more honey. You can find the herb seasoning in the same aisle as the other rubs and spices. I find that pork is best cooked slowly with an indirect heat so i usually put it in the middle of the grill and turn the outside burners on low ... this worked wonderfully with this recipe! Such a hit!

This took only a few minutes of prep time to throw together the marinade ingredients, and toss the pork chops and marinade in a bag. I did let it marinate overnight, and the actual cooking time was just as the recipe indicates, about 12-15 minutes.
I didn't have parsley, and I don't know what Sandra Lee's "herb garden seasoning" is, so I used dried rosemary, oregano and basil. I also added a little vidalia onion dressing I had in the fridge. The raw marinade is a bit too potent for my taste for a dipping sauce, as the recipe suggests, but once cooked, the mustard flavor is subtle and delicious. I will definitely be making this again and again.

Made the marinade last night which I had to doctor up a little, since I don't know or can find herb garden seasoning. Can someone tell what that is?

Didn't have all the ingredients - used regular yellow mustard, cilantro, and a mix of this and that for seasoning - still turned out great!

This was a simple to make and very tasty recipe. The only thing I would change is to withhold more of the marinade to serve tableside, the flavor was awesome!!

Thank you Sandra...I am always looking for new ways to mix up my flavor profiles and your marinade for my pork chops was a hit.

I have to say I was a little sceptical of the mustard but the flavor was very subtle and tasty! Though, I didn't have the herb garden seasoning so I just added a little bit of each of the herbs from it and it turned out fine.
