GOOD,BUT COULD USE MORE HORSERADISH.AND MAYBE SOME OLD BAY
My Boyfriend nearly vomited when he tried to force down one bite of this grotesque excuse for food. As a curiosity, I've watched S.L. for a while now, and I thought, well why not, when I came upon this recipe. I have since begun a thorough investigation of Sandra Lee's other super-simple recipies, and have come to the realization that they are generally SUPER- SICKENING. Why is she on the air? I think it's like when you see a car accident...you are compelled to watch, if nothing else, just to see the corpse come out of the smoking car. Well Sandra, Mission accomplished!
and decided to make it anyway. i added some old bay and some garlic also. it gave the crab bake a little more flavor, but it is still pretty bland and the consistency is disappointing.
Chef Lee has done it again. My family and friends simply loved the Crab Bake, and it was so easy.
Every one of my guests loved this dish and two asked for the recipe!
This dip is grey and stinky and unfit to serve to guests.
    simply awful
    Tasted terrible-threw it away.
THIS IS A GREAT ITEM, EASY FOR ME TO MAKE.....FUN TO SERVE
This smelled and tasted exactly like the lutefisk appetizer my gramma made for Smorgasboard when I was a little girl! I haven't had lutefisk in many years so this really caught me by surprise.
    Just seemed off.
but it all stoopped there. It was not good dip.
the aroma was strong and offensive
    no one liked it
    we refused to eat it.
    clumpy and smelly
Too dull to be make again and definitely not something you'd bring to a party.
My mother who was never any good in the kitchen used to make something like this every summer. My father would eat anything, so he liked it. I think. All us kids thought it was gross. But I think that's because she used lo fat creme cheese because of dad's weight problem. The ricotta in this makes it a lot better. I can actually enjoy it a bit now.
    it was absolutely disgusting tasting.
I have enjoyed Sandra's many other crab recipes, but the crab and ricotta mixed together here makes for a rather unattractive "crab bake." Plus, the liquid from the cheese separated making it hard to spread (I was the only one whowould try it). The horseradish is very strong, too.
    not very spready or tasty
    tasted pretty bad
everything we made from this episode was not good
Table cream instead of milk would have been better and the ricotta held it together like glue. Crab........it didn't even register.
    Seriously the worst.
Riccotta Cheese? Who Knew! Awesome combination, and tastes fabulous.
    Very bland and dry.
It was very bland and fishy
This recipe was simple to make but very dry. I can't place what it was missing...perhaps more cheese?
A very simple quick, yet yummy dip for toasted bagel pieces.
