I am not against using canned bisque as a base. I think canned soups and bisques can be good. This was better than good with the additions she adds.

classy and yummy. There are some good quality storebought bisques out there to use as a base. If you use one of those like we did this is a huge keeper.

I thought the cream added to the soup made it nice and silky, but it was bit too heavy for our taste. Half and half might be better. I didn't add lemon juice because that would have curdled the cream. The canned crabmeat was a nice touch. Overall, it was nothing special but somewhat of an improvement over plain canned soup. It is a very expensive recipe to make.

Can be quite delicious on its own. Doctoring it up this way didn't improve it much. We particulary didn't like the lemon juice and it did curdle the cream a bit.

The cream and lemon juice diluted all the taste out of it. Adding the canned crab would have been ok if the bisque itself was tasty, but it was already ruined by then.

Canned crab bisque diluted with cream and lemion juice -- an example of how you can add so-called "embellishments" that actually make it taste worse.

Had a tinny, metallic taste. Would certainly NOT waste my time and money on this recipe again.

I would have never known this was a "semi homemade soup" If I didn't see it made at home.My girlfriend and both families flipped for this soup.

This is a fantastic, quick way for a
    luncheon or light supper. Everyone
will just love the rich, creamy texture.
I topped this off with a scant teaspoon
    of Shery. Yummy!

This was not much effort and so worth it. Can you spell semi-homemade? Say it with me now children. I don't have time to make homemake crab bisque plus I don't know how....hence a person who actually tries these ideas. You people that come here and diss this show are kinda scary. I hope I'm not related to you. I mean if you don't like the recipe fine. But don't diss canned food on a show with "semi-homemade in it's title because that just doesn't make sense.
