I made this on a whim for Christmas dinner and did't have all the ingredients in the house so I played with it a little and it was awesome. The whole family loved it, I just hope I remember what I did so I can recreate it for Thanksgiving next year. The gravy was the best I've ever made. Thanks Sandra!!

I truly felt like a food network star when I made my turkey this way. This is the only recipe I have truly followed from start to finish and it really paid off. My family loved the turkey, it was so moist and flavorful, and I never knew that oranges could give poultry such a kick. This was the first time I used kosher salt or marmalade and the recipe was so simple I wasn't intimidated. I was so pumped up when I was cooking that I squeezed fresh oranges for the juice in the glaze. Sandra Lee is perfect for the new cook or the cook that doesn't have a lot of time to make everthing from scratch. Her recipes are also good on a budget because you can buy pre-packaged items that can be used for other recipes. I can't wait to try her cappucino "cup"cakes.

My 13 year old neighbor girl chose this recipe to try for Christmas dinner.. She is learning how to cook and did an outstanding job for her age. Rave reviews were given by all who sat down to this years chirstmas feast with the turkey being the top of the list. This a moist great flavor turkey and one that will be presented at a Holiday table in the years to come.
This is an all time keeper..

My entire family said this was the best turkey we have ever had. We just enjoyed it this evening for Christmas Eve supper and everyone agrees it was moist and flavorful, and gorgeous to look at! I will make this again and again. Thank you for getting our Christmas celebration off to a brilliant start!

The person who wrote the one and only review used a CHICKEN -- about 1/3 to 1/4 of the weight of the 12- to 14-pound TURKEY called for in the recipe. Of course the ingredients were strong -- they probably didn't account for the lower weight and the milder flavor of a chicken when they made it. My husband and I found Sandra's recipe excellent and well worth the work of loosening the skin. Using this cranberry glaze and the compound butter on a turkey is inspired. All the meat is succulent and delicious, and the gravy is sublime. We'll make this again and again.

The chicken tasted WAY too orangy and the outside was very gooey with the glaze. Nobody wanted to eat it. Sandra is nice but I wish she would taste her cooking before sharing it with other people.
