Cooked this tonight and was very excited that it tasted as good as the recipe looked. Like some reviewers mentioned, I made a little more sauce than the recipe called for but not sure how much more as I typically do not measure ingredients in a recipe like this. Served over brown rice to make a little healthful. I happened to have beef short ribs (boneless on hand that were not very fatty so used that for the beef --excellent! Also added red pepper flakes to the sauce--excellent again. All around, a very good recipe that I will make again and again. Thanks Sandra.

The first time I made this, I made it with beef but it came out really tough and we didn't think there was enough sauce to go with the rice. However, I made this a second time with pork tenderloin, doubled the sauce (thickened with a little cornstarch, added a red bell pepper and a can of water chestnuts and it really came out amazing! It's great how easily customizable this recipe is.

This recipe is great. I had given up on Chinese Take Out due to high sodium and additives. This recipe was quick and delicious. I look forward to trying it with chicken.

This recipe is WONDERFUL! I did cheat and use N.Y. strip steak as I wanted a better cut of beef. The flavor is very good. Often recipes for homemade Chinese food are pretty sad, but not this one. I would up portion of meat to 2 pounds to serve 4 hungry people, especially for men. If you like a lot of sauce to put over rice, prepare another 1/2 of the sauce recipe.
Way to go, Sandra!

This was very good. It did take longer than 30 minutes to make because I did the meat in batches.

I used the beef in a completely different stir fry recipe, so I have no idea whether this recipe is good, but I can tell you the beef is great for stir fry! I used thinly sliced round steak, and salt and peppered it before I coated it with the cornstarch. I also avoided coating it in the sauce in the final dish, so that it would stay crisp.
It was perfect, thanks Sandra!

Next time I will cut down on the marmalade, but i really loved the technique. I learned something new with the quick frying of the beef!
