I'm confused. Do I let the eggs boil for 12 minutes? Or the 12 minutes includes the time it takes the cold water to start boiling

Great recipe. I feel so sorry for the "cooks" that gave this a one star. It seems like they can't cook and can only be negative. Cooking is a matter of taste. A good cook will add or subtract ingredients to her/his family's taste. Thanks Sandra for giving us basic recipes that we can taylor to our taste!

I made these as an app for a small gathering at my house and they were a hit! Except I made a few modifications b/c one I forgot to buy the relish (so I excluded and I like dijon mustard better than yellow mustard. Everyone LOVED them!

For a stuffed egg thier ok but a true deviled egg has deviled ham mixed into the yolk . hence the name Deviled egg.

My husband LOVES, LOVES, LOVES deviled eggs. But, he doesn't like the pickle chunks in them. I use this recipe except substitute the relish with just the juice from sweet pickles. You still get the sweet taste without the chunks.

Mom used dill pickle relish instead. A bit more tang for those of us who do not like sweet eggs.

This was an egg-celent recipe. Why the negativity? If your EGGS don't boil right, it's probably user error. Anyway, they turned out great, and the relish gives them just a little oomph. Thanks Sandra!

I really like the taste of these. The only thing I changed is I used capers instead of sweet relish because I don't like sweet relish.
