great idea for a christmas brunch. used donut holes and added some clean magnolia leaves, fresh winter fruit (lemons, oranges, cranberries and limes, unpeeled/wholearound the bottom of the tree on a glass cake stand. there were a few holes left by the donut holes so i added cranberries (squeezed them in in the holes was a huge hit! people thought it was the neatest thing, and the kids (and a few adults! stole a few near the end. one tip; add the cranberries to the tree dead last. sometimes the cranberries leak a bit of juice.

Thanks npinnella for the great tips to go with this tree. I love Sandra's stuff and the wholepoint is not so much work to achieve something great. It's too bad others come to complain. If they don't like something, go watch something else. This is a great place to learn and share.

Was a huge hit..made it really big and added candy canes, garland and presents at the bottom of the tree. There were also six presents at the bottom of the tree and after you ate a donut hole you then pulled out the toothpick and if there was a ribbon attached to the end of the toothpick then you got one of the presents under the tree. It was great for adults and children...would love to send a picture if possible.

This was a great time for mother daughter time in the kitchen. This was very simple and fun to share time and make a nice display to take to a Christmas function. My daughter was able to do a lot on her own which was nice for her. This was a good start for my daughter look at enjoying new ideal for cooking on her own.

This was a terriffic hit at our company holiday breakfast. I used plain doughnut holes, and decorated, then sprinkled with powered sugar. It was so pretty looking everyone was afraid to take the first piece. I love Jeannies idea about using the cheese balls and etc...

Christopher...come on, don't you have something better to do with your time then to post such inane comments?

I didn't think this looked good but I was so pressed for time I tried it. Big mistake. It looked like I piled a bunch of munchkins together and call it something else.

For the dessert table these Holiday trees were a hit! I used several different kinds of donut holes and used different color candies to decorate with and used little ribbon bows to decorate the trees and used star toppers. It was fun to make and will use this same idea using little mozerrella balls and cherry tomatoes and basil leaves to decorate the trees for New Years eve! Thanks for a terrific easy idea!
