I am no cook but his looked easy and I am having a party in October and wanted to make this. However, it tasted great thus the 4 rating but it wasn't as big as I thought it would be and I was only able to use 1/3 of the proscuitto it called for. Also it turned out soggy in the middle. Can one you you great cooks tell me what I did wrong? Did I use too much cream cheese, too much fig preserves, not cook long enough? Please help this novice.

I could not find the fig preserves so I substituted pear. Remembering that walnuts and blue cheese go well with pears, as well as prosciutto, I added both of them to the recipe, along with a little fresh thyme and lemon zest. Everyone at the party loved it!

Although I haven't made this recipe as yet I still had to post a review because my favorite combination is fig jam and prosciutto (a local restaurant serves an appy with this combination. I saved the recipe and plan on making it this week. I think it would be fantastic even without the seasoning.
For Michelle in Fairhaven and others who cannot find the seasoning....I looked for it on-line and found it here.

This recipe is very easy and easy to use substitutions...orange marmalade and ham instead of fig preserves and prosciutto.

I made this same recipe, but used marscapone cheese, peaches and peach preserve, my husband is not a fan of hot fruit and he loves it!
Also tried with spanish white cheese, mangoes and mango preserve, same result, my family absolute loves this dessert and have friends doing the same for dinner parties.
Thanks Sandra

I made this at my Pampered Chef party and it was a hit!! It was easy, I made 2 on one of the stoneware cookie sheets and everyone loved it! I am going to make it for a morning meeting this week. The taste of the fig with the salt from the ham...just fabulous
