Super easy to make. This was the first time making this recipe and if you follow it exactly as explained and dont make the files to thick they come out PERFECT! Husband really enjoyed these and was entertained by the fact that they look like the ones at the buffets.

I tried it. She made it look so easy. I had trouble in every area. The flavor was good, but it was so hot my fingers were burning and I only got a couple to look right.

I will stick with my old recipe. These were not crisp. Tasted good but bad texture. You just cannot beat Ina and Paula!!!! Hope the other things on that day are good as I printed all of them. Please don't dissapoint me again!!

This was a more difficult cookie to make than I was anticipating. It was fun, no doubt, but I didn't get quite as many out of a batch as was indicated. Also it was difficult to get all 4 off the pan and folded and set in a muffin tray before they got too hard. I was working by myself, maybe I should have had someone help me. They were tasty, though, tasted just like what you'd buy in the store, but better!

I made these with my young granddaughters for Thanksgiving. They had so much fun writing the fortunes and making the cookies and spending time in the kitchen with grandpa. We're gonna do it again for Christmas too - we'll use some red and green food coloring to make 'em special.
