    It was like sipping champagne and then slurping thick apricot juice. The two liquids didn't mix together at all. Not a great recipe.

    I love champagne and I love apricots, but this combination is terrible. The nectar is far too thick to mix with the more delicate champagne. You end up with this globby mix that tastes like it needs to be filtered or something. If you're going for a French theme, just serve the champagne or a French wine.
