For something that cooked for so long, you'd expect it it taste onion-ey, right? Wrong. It tasted only vaguely like onion and was very watery. Cannot be described as rich tasting in the least. Tasted like diluted canned beef broth. Very disappointing.

The soup was so easy to make. I used Low Sodium Beef Broth and added 1/2 cup of water to cut the saltiness. It was wonderful. Rich and Full of Flavor.

I would never serve this to guests. It's thin, watery, salty and barely tastes like onions. One of the worst renditions of onion soup that I have ever eaten.

I made the entire slow cooked meal, and this was the part that had my guests moaning! Very good and easy. Will definitely make again

We really liked this recipe. I did not find it too salty like some other people did. Make sure you do use low salt beef broth. I cooked it on low and it made the house smell wonderful all day!

I decided to kick this recipe up so I added a few ounces of cognac. Yum-O!

This soup is excellent. It tastes as good as any I've made from scratch. A friend of mine is a chef and he also said it was excellent.

the worst soup we've ever tried. I agree there is no deep, rich flavor. Terribly disappointing.
