I tried this recipe, the ravioli turned out ok, not much flavor. They tasted kind of like pretzels. The cheese filling wasn't too tastey. I don't know if the cheese dissipates when you fry it or not. Just Ok.

I'm from St. Louis and we have a local dish here that is very, very popular called Toasted Ravioli - that is what I use. (I can get them at the store pre-breaded and in different varities ie. meat, cheese etc Basically they are breaded pre-cooked ravioli that you bake. The dips were good with them.

Just by looking at the recipe, I can tell it is all wrong. You need to bread the ravioli first so they can have that crisp texture. By frying them without any coating, it just soaks them up with oil and there is no flavor.
Please coat your ravioli!

My husband is Italian!
I made this for our anniversary and am keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't divorce me.
They were greasy and tasteless and what few of them he ate sat like lead in his tummy (or so he said.
Please pray for our marraige.

This may be a stupid question but: are you suppose to cook the raviolis first? it doesn't specify in the recipe. also a suggestion: if you don't like the cheese raviolis you could try perogis

This ravioli is especially easy to make, but not very flavorful. It may be because the ravioli I used were mini instead of full sized, but they tasted somewhat like pretzel chips. They were still ok...will try the full sized ones next time. I did not try the dips, I instead used a creamy marinara dip from Paula Deen, which is quite tasty.

These were the hands down favorite at my daughter's birthday party! I was nervous after reading some of the reviews so I only made a medium size bowl full. These were a runaway hit. They were VERY easy to make and were not greasy at all. This is going to be a standing appetizer for me from now on.
