I used this recipe as a basis for a great fried chicken. Before dredging in the flour, I laid out the pieces in a casserole dish and gave a light drizzle of Olive Oil then sprinkled on the salt and added pepper as well. I let that marinate for about 20-30 min and then dredged according to the recipe and fried. It was absolutely delish!!! I figured that it needed spicing up and I guess I was right.

never used spices when I was growing up, except salt and pepper, and this is exactly how she made her chicken. Now I add spices and marinate my chicken before I fry it, and it never comes out as good as my moms. But you have to fry it exact to be golden brown and cooked all the way thru.

great! The recipe is the simplest yet. I wasn't surprised by the salt and flour taste, since that's what the recipe is. DOH!!!!

My husband is on a bland diet for medical reasons so this was perfect for him except that it was so greasy which is another thing that he cannot have. He was mad. I ate it though.
