Excellent.....tasted exactly like my favorite green beans from our local Steakhouse. I used fresh green beans and boiled them for 4 minutes, transferred to ice bath, then drained and added to skillet. Very easy to make and absolutely delicous. Didn't come out greasy at all as some others have suggested.

In retrospect, I think I should have been strung up for even thinking about making this dish in the microwave, as it would have taken about the same time in a skillet, and the result would have been much better. Overall, it had far too much fat, and the garlic added nothing to the dish. I kept thinking "Would you like some green beans with your fat?"

I've made this recipe twice already and found that it was a bit greasy and could have used more flavor. I fixed it from the episode and she used "olive oil" now seeing that the written recipe calls for extra virgin olive oil I wonder if it would make a difference; but I would definitely try it again; always need a way to spice up vegetables

I love this style of green beans but instead of bacon to cut down a little on fat i caramelized half an onion (chopped finely with the garlic and then added a little dried basil. I was planing on taking them to a dinner but my family started eating them before I could even get them in a container!

This was good, but a tad bland. Worth trying once.

They turned out wonderful! I added about a 1/4 cup of toasted almonds which added an extra kick to it.
